Sunrise Redi Mix is looking for class 1 & class 3 drivers to join our team.
Positions looking to fill is Concrete Mixer Truck Driver Full-Time/Seasonal
Description:
• Operating a Ready-Mix truck in urban/rural areas and tight construction sites. Safely operate truck in accordance with all applicable Provincial and company regulations.• Efficiently load and deliver perishable product (concrete) to customer striving to provide quality and good customer service.• Follow procedures to ensure truck is safe to operate. When not performing driving duties assist with plant maintenance, truck maintenance, cleanup and other duties (which include manual labor) as assigned by supervisor.• Complete required pre and post trip inspections reporting necessary maintenance as required.• Operate truck to receive load, evaluate slump and drive to job site. Safely maneuver truck on job site, attach chutes to discharge material, clean truck to minimize concrete buildup and chip truck from concrete build up.• Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner.• Keep inside and outside of truck clean.• Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service.• Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry are an assest but not required.
Requirements:• Valid Class 1 or 3 license.• The ability to lift 50-75LBS• The ability to climb, bend and stoop.• A current clean 5-Year Commercial Drivers Abstract will be required at the time of hire.• A successful drug & alcohol fit test at time of hire and throughout employement. • The ability to read and write English. Legible writing. Basic Math skills.• Must be dependable, well organized, safety minded, and have efficient work habits.• Basic vehicle maintenance skills
Job Types: Seasonal, Full-time
Wage: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
Schedule:• 10 hour shift• 12 hour shift• 8 hour shift• Day shift• Monday to Friday• Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:• Overtime pay
Ability to commute/relocate:• Kamloops, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
