Description:
- Operating a ready-mix truck in urban/rural areas and construction sites, while safely operating a truck in accordance with all applicable provincial and company regulations
- Efficiently load and deliver perishable product (concrete) to customer while providing a quality product and good customer service
- Operate truck to receive load, evaluate slump and drive to job site. Safely maneuver truck on job site, attach chutes to discharge material, clean truck to minimize concrete buildup and chip truck from concrete build up
- Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management to facilitate the flow of information required to provide good customer service
- Complete all forms, tickets and required paperwork in a timely manner
- Follow procedures to ensure trucks are safe to operate, includes completing required pre and post trip inspections, reporting necessary maintenance as required, keeping inside and outside of truck clean
- When not performing driving duties assist with plant maintenance, truck maintenance, and other duties (which include manual labor) as assigned by the supervisor
- Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry are an assest but not required
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 License
- Ability to lift 50LBS
- Ability to climb, bend and stoop
- A current clean 5 - Year Commercial Drivers Abstract will be required at the time of hire
- A successful Drug & Alcohol Fit Test will be required at the time of hire and throughout employment
- Ability to read and write english
- Basic Math skills
- Basic vehicle maintence skills
- Must be dependable, well organized, safety minded and have efficient work habits
Wage:
- Starting $30.00/HR
Supplemental Pay Types:
- Overtime pay
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Commute/Relocate:
-Reliably commute or relocate prior to starting work
